Connor Truax, a sophomore at HRV, and co founder of our school’s Film Club, shares his thoughts on the happenings of the club and his interest in film.
The Film Club is currently working on an original web series, a comedy called Hoodlums, starring actors Gabby Wilson and Jasper Krehbiel. It was written by Brynnan Burns and Truax, and will likely be posted on YouTube upon completion.
Truax says that this is the Film Club’s first project, and it has given the group a lot to build off of and learn from. “I’m always proud of my team,” he says. “They put in many hours of hard work and do it with smiles on their faces.”
In November, Film Club plans on entering “The Columbia Gorge Film Project,” a local film contest, which they are very excited for. They will continue entering competitions, with the goal of entering a video in the “All American High School Film Festival” in 2016.
When asked about his passion for film, Truax states, “I’ve been interested in film from a young age. I remember seeing Star Wars for the first time when I was six years old. It inspired my interest in film, and its only grown from there.”
Truax says that the club welcomes new members. If you are interested in joining, contact him or the club advisor, Mr. Meyle.
