About The Talon
The Talon is the student newspaper of Hood River Valley High School, and has operated as a public forum of the students, by the students, and for the students of HRVHS since 2000. Print editions of The Talon are published periodically. The Talon’s website is hrvtalon.com.
The Talon’s staff acts as its own editorial board. The Talon staff is solely responsible for determining the news, opinion, feature, and advertising content of print versions of The Talon, hrvtalon.com and all other Talon online sources, such as The Talon’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. The Talon staff makes decisions about what content is fit to print based on the professional and legal standards of journalism, as well as the standards of decency and fairness of the HRVHS student community, whom The Talon represents and serves. The Talon staff reserves the right to reject submitted content such as letters to the editor or advertisements based on these standards.
Letters to the editor may be sent to the school in care of Dave Case, Talon Adviser, or emailed to david.case@hoodriver.k12.or.us. Anonymous letters will not be printed.
