Behind a dominant pitching performance from senior Ryan Ward, the HRV baseball team beat Dallas 5-0 in the first round of the OSAA 5A playoffs Wednesday. Ward threw a no-hitter, striking out seventeen and walking only one.
The seventh-ranked Eagles, who reached the state finals last year, take on number 15 Putnam at HRV on Friday at 5:00. Putnam reached the second round by defeating number-two ranked Churchill 7-6 on Wednesday.
