Every year, the members of FFA hold their own Farmers’ Breakfast to give back to their community. It’s a fun, free event for anyone in the community to enjoy. This event will take place from 7-11 A.M. tomorrow morning in the closed cafeteria area. This breakfast will be country style, so there will be plenty of bacon, sausage, and a ranch-style buffet line for people to choose their delicacy. “This is one of the busiest times of the year, especially with all of the other FFA events going on,” says Agriculture teacher Nita Bozarth. The Farmers’ breakfast was originally an idea from a former HRVHS principal, and the tradition stuck. The FFA members will also be giving tours of the land lab to anyone who is interested in the background work of the members and students. “It’s an awesome event for the community,” states FFA leader Don Schmidt. Freshman Courtney Castaneda went to her first Farmers’ Breakfast in 8th grade. Now, this is her first time volunteering to help with the breakfast. “[When I first went] it was fun, it was all set up. I like seeing all the smiling faces,” Courtney explains. This Farmers’ Breakfast, like all the others, will definitely be successful and fun. Anyone is welcome, and it’s free!
