HRV is considering change in the finals schedule. For many years, the finals schedule has been spread throughout three days with study periods in the morning. This allowed students to finish projects, ask questions, study, or sleep in. However, the possible change would only be two days of finals, with an entire day for A day finals and an entire day for B day finals. It would make the schedule more organized, but students would not have a study period. What do you think? Take the poll below. This is the Finals Schedule from Spring of 2014 (with the old schedule, not starting at 8:40): Finals Schedule 2st Semester 2013-2014 Wednesday, June 11, 2014 Period 5 Regular Class 8:15-9:32 Period 6 Regular Class 9:39-10:55 (Intervention passing 10:14 – 10:20) LUNCH 10:55-11:30 Period 7 FINAL EXAM 11:35-1:15 (Intervention passing 12:22 – 12:28) Period 8 FINAL EXAM 1:25-3:05 (Intervention passing 2:12 – 2:18) Thursday, June 12, 2014 Study Period (Prep for P.4 teachers) 7:45-9:08 Period 1 FINAL EXAM 9:15-10:55 (Intervention passing 10:02 – 10:08) LUNCH 10:55-11:30 Period 2 FINAL EXAM 11:35-1:15 (Intervention passing 12:22 – 12:28) Period 3 FINAL EXAM 1:25-3:05 (Intervention passing 2:12 – 2:18) Friday, June 13, 2014 Pick-up check-out cards in foyer and do locker checkout (prep for P. 7/8 teachers) 7:45-8:35 Students go to 1, 2, 3, 7,8 periods for check-out 8:35-9:10 Period 4 FINAL EXAM 9:15-10:55 (Intervention passing 10:02 – 10:08) LUNCH 10:55-11:30 Period 5 FINAL EXAM 11:35-1:15 (Intervention passing 12:22 – 12:28) Period 6 FINAL EXAM 1:25-3:05 (Intervention passing 2:12 – 2:18) The new finals schedule would have one day of A day finals and one day of B day finals.
