It’s that time of year again! After an intense season of soccer The Oregonian staff will select the 2014-2015 Oregonian High School Boys Soccer Player of the Year on the sixth of January. Gio Magana, HRVHS Junior, was nominated as one of the players that they believe deserves the title. Gio Magana is ecstatic about this amazing opportunity. He informed us that this is his second year being nominated. Although he didn’t win last year, he’s rooting that he will this year.
“I’m very excited, and I hope I really do get it. Everybody shows me the support and love they have for our Eagles, I’m hoping to win for them. The team overall has done really awesome this year.” Magana says.
Noe Magana is overjoyed to have his brother be nominated for player of the year in Oregon again. He had quite a few things to say about his brother. “My brother is a great player and worked really hard to get where he is. He deserves to win, and he has my full support, always.” He hopes to have everyone from HRVHS vote for his brother, so he can win this year.
It’s very easy to cast a vote and takes less than 3 seconds. Go online and vote. The poll provided on The Oregonian’s website closes December 18 at 11:59 sharp.
